Always on the lookout for ways to further develop skills in entrepreneurship, marketing, and social media, and to cultivate an innovative mindset in order to be a part of the evolution of classical music in today’s society.
Korean-American pianist Thomas J. Lee, from the studio of Anthony Padilla, attends the Lawrence University Conservatory of Music in Appleton, WI as a candidate for a Bachelor of Music Degree in Piano Performance with an Emphasis in Pedagogy.
Thomas performs chamber music with his piano, viola, oboe trio–TraumTrio–and, as an Accompanying Fellow of the Conservatory, collaborates widely with vocalists, string players, and the Lawrence University Wind Ensemble under the baton of Dr. Andrew Mast. He is also a student teacher of the Lawrence Academy of Music, and has a studio of two awesome, budding pianists.
With the guidance of Lawrence’s Conservatory Dean, Brian Pertl, Thomas developed a summer-long concert series in Chicago called Prism Series, which consisted of eight weekly classical music recitals featuring current and former Lawrence students. He seeks to further develop his innovative mindset and skills in entrepreneurship, marketing, and social media to be a part of the evolution of classical music in today’s society.
Thomas is curently a festival assistant/intern at the Mile of Music Festival, in Appleton, WI.
